How a sitting works

Drag a piece. Neighbours snap when they are close enough. On a phone, pinch to zoom and drag with one finger. The ghost photo and the outline are optional hints. Cut style is on the table. This is the same 2D cut as a gift you send — there is not a separate “toy” mode.

Choose the right piece count

Twelve pieces gives you a quick puzzle with large targets, which is useful on a phone, for children, or when you want to learn the controls. Forty-eight pieces is the balanced option for a normal break. It gives you enough edges, colors, and shapes to sort without making the table crowded. The 108-piece and 192-piece cuts are better for a longer sitting on a tablet or computer.

The photo matters as much as the number. A picture with clear objects, faces, buildings, or strong color blocks is easier to organize. Clouds, water, forests, stone, and repeated textures create a harder jigsaw because many neighbouring pieces look similar. Start smaller, then replay the same image with a denser cut if you want more challenge.

No download and no required account

Each puzzle opens as a web page. You do not need to install an app, create a profile, or give an email address before dragging the first piece. Ordinary gallery progress and personal records stay in the current browser. Signing in is optional and is mainly for placing an honest completion time on the daily world ladder.

New approved photos appear on the latest photo puzzle shelf, while established subjects remain in the topic index. Every live photo has a stable detail page with its title, source credit, difficulty choices, and related puzzles, so you can bookmark a scene and return to it later.

Make a puzzle from your own photo

If the public gallery is not personal enough, upload a picture from your device and play it privately. Sharing stays off unless you deliberately choose it. For birthdays, thank-you notes, and small surprises, the gift maker adds a hidden sentence that appears only after the final piece clicks. The recipient gets an ordinary short link and can solve it on a phone, tablet, or computer without registering first.
