A few clues to get started

Explore animals, wildlife, birds. Look for these features as you bring the picture together:

• Follow straight lines in buildings, windows, or streets when they are visible. Repeated windows can be deceptive, so check a corner, shadow, or change of color before joining them.
• If an eye, beak, or wing edge is visible, use it as an anchor. Follow feather direction outward and keep background pieces separate from the bird's outline.
• Begin with any clear outline, eye, or face detail. Follow the direction of fur or skin texture, then leave similar-looking habitat pieces until the subject is established.
