A few clues to get started

Explore travel, sky, lifestyle, nature. Look for these features as you bring the picture together:

• If water meets land or sky, build that boundary first. Treat reflections as a separate area: similar colors can appear on both sides of the shoreline without being neighboring pieces.
• Sort open sky by brightness and color temperature. If clouds are present, follow their edges first and save smooth areas for when surrounding clusters are in place.
• With foliage, sort by brightness as well as hue. Follow visible leaf edges or branches before working on areas where many small shapes repeat.
