Explore nature, landscape, sky. Look for these features as you bring the picture together:

In wooded areas, follow the direction of trunks and branches before matching similar greens. If there is a path or a gap between trees, use its boundary to connect clusters.
In pale or snowy areas, compare blue and gray shadows rather than grouping every light piece together. Any darker outline is a useful starting point.
Sort open sky by brightness and color temperature. If clouds are present, follow their edges first and save smooth areas for when surrounding clusters are in place.
